I think if it doesn't happen or isn't fully funded the money has to be refunded per Kickstarter rules.

For kickstarter they don't even get charged until the end so it was never funded.

So I take it the project never met its goal.
I have only Participated in one kick starter and It did reach it's goal. Unfortunately the dude never delivered, stops communication cut and run. None of us have ever received our product, I'm out $40.
