Chris Uminga opening commisions again!

With Conventions closing left and right, Chris Uminga has opened his commissions online now for mailing directly to people.

While he has increased price of a lot of his original art I ordered a 5x7 Grey bust commission as thats still within my price range.

Thanks for posting this.

I’m torn about jumping in on a commission. I love to look at Chris’ art. However, I think his strength lies in male characters. I only commission a handful of female characters. So I’m not sure if his style with translate. Ugh the struggle.

I have seen a few artists moving to this size and it does absolutely nothing for me.

Traditional size art is 11x17 (ish) and that is what I gravitate toward for commission offerings. I see these new tiny commissions more like the sketch card craze of a few years ago which didn't appeal to me (although I had to pick up a few Perna pieces).

If there is a market for the artists/collectors, more power to them.

I would have got his larger pieces but he seems to have increased his prices by a LOT since last year and I didnt want to spend 300 until I have some more income coming in, especially with everything going on right now.

I splurged and got the larger size. When Planet Comicon got cancelled I decided to use some of that money for this commission. Seems like $300 is a pretty common commission price nowadays anyway.
