Yeah the human likenesses are a bit off, no question. Some worse than others but they're still beautifully sculpted. Only 5 of the 34 pieces I own are humans, none of which do I consider to be the worst "likeness" offenders.

I hope they can get someone with talents like those from Gentle Giants to do facial sculpt. GG I think does better facial sculpt likeness better than SS with the exception of the SW Mythos (Kenobi was done really well).

well some of them are pretty bad.

That being said I think it came down to Attakus not having the rights to the actor's likenesses. These pieces are more "artist's interpretations" than what you see coming out of the likes of GG where they can digitally 3D scan the actor's face.

I own none of Attakus' human face statues (except Palpatine) - all of mine are helmeted or aliens. Not a big fan of the human likeness. I understand GG has scan capability which gives them a leg up but I prefer their human likeness sculpts far more than Attakus. That being said I love Attakus' work overall and hope they continue....a lot more to be covered.....
