Dude, you are the guy with the inside track on Sideshow. If anyone should have seen this coming it would be you.

Let's be sensible now. There's no way that prices would remain the same way as they did years ago. Some collectors seem to want high quality for lower prices, that's not how it works.

I don't think anyone expects prices to be stable from 10 years ago however we are seeing significant hikes year over year. Like, 30% increases.

SS was the accessible option with a moderate price tag and higher ES. A PF should hold strong at $450 or potentially $550 for something exceptional. This $700 business is waaaaay out there. From time to time gouge me at $550-$600 but this is off the chart.

I think they'll really screw themselves on this one. I think this is a threshold that will turn people off.

If you think they are too expensive then vote with your wallet and don't buy. These whining threads are getting old.

Yup, i'm doing exactly that. I won't purchase anymore statues from SS. Red Sonja will quite possibly be my last SS purchase, unless Gamora magically converts.

It will never happen.

People are as attracted to the statues/characters as they are to the drama of the hobby.

People will vote with their wallets because they simply don't make enough money to support the hobby anymore, but there are more than enough collectors out there with the funds to keep collecting and sideshow is well aware of this. They really don't care if there are people that will be forced out because they don't need those people. That new Deadpool statue that everyone is complaining about will eventually sellout and that's what matters to them from a business standpoint.
