I was meh on Aquaman in general, Jason Momoa definately brings a cool badass vibe to the character, and would bring interest from guys like me who had no interest about Aquaman from the comics or cartoons, still think he would have been even more badass as Namor the sub-mariner.

I agree. Without the cowboy “woo-hoo!” nonsense he’s got the jets to play Namor. As it is, this could be a fun film if you just ignore the entire history of the character up to this point and just treat this as an entirely separate thing. Pretty much the way DC has managed its movie properties, with the exception of Wonder Woman, so that they don’t resemble the actual source material. Except that this tactic has led to major busts this far.

Like the Shazam trailer, this one also looked good. I can get past the fact that he does not resemble the comic book version at all but considering at some point he does wear the comic book costume I am fine with that. Amber Heard as Mera looked fantastic and looks like she will really kick but.

It looks like they're using the New 52 stories that also inspired the Throne of Atlantis animated movie.

Aquaman has always had a speacial spot in my heart. Almost every comedy show, cartoon etc. has an episode where they make fun of Aquaman... He's acutally pretty iconic, even if he doesn't get much respect... lol So i'm glad that he made it to the silver screen before Namor... I would be sad, if Namor stole the spot light from Aquaman.

But with the film, Aquaman will forever keep Namor at his shadow. WOOO HOOOO !!!!!

Namor is lame

That trailer made this look like something I might want to go see. Maybe. I'm not the biggest fan of the "surfer dude" aspect of the way Mamoa plays Aquaman, but at least the trailer made the movie look exciting. And it doesn't look as dark and dreary as the other DCEU movies do. Oh, and Black Manta looks bada$$!

I love how Mera, Orn, and Manta look like they came out of the comics. I'm optimistic about this one.

Trailer looked a little cheesy to me, as did the special effects. But, I'll still see it when it opens and hope that it's good.
