Kevin Spacey has been cast as Lex Luthor...That's the only "super" villian I've read about.

I think once the movie comes out everyone will forget the comments here.
He will be fine. Superman is more then the shape of his body. The character is far more powerful then any of that. It's a live action movie. You cant just lift the impossible images of a comic and put them onto screen.
Give me a film about the last son of Krypton made with care for the characters, that shows the depths of them. I would much prefer that then some great looking guy in a suit in some horrible movie like Superman III or IV. ugh.
In the past I would have been more concerned. But since Batman Begins I have a little more faith they will get this right.
Give the man a chance. The trailer looked great! I am really looking forward to this film.

Before he made those films he made the Usual Suspects still one of the best films in a long time. I doubt he will let this franchise down.

I saw the preview of this finally on the big screen and I was as stoked for it as I was Batman Begins... I think it is going to be an awsome movie... and I am looking forward to it... Remember... the casting of Toby McGuire for Spiderman and most of the public was like 'wtf'... I think you might be pleasantly surprised...

As you can see in the pic below, Superman should go toe to toe.
