MARVEL REALLY BLEW IT!!!

Just got done re-reading the FEARLESS DEFENDERS run.....God, what a great book!
Marvel pulled the plug on this gem WAY too soon! It needed AT LEAST a year to introduce the cast, then another year to get the ball rolling and pick up steam!
Rather than concentrate on their 20 X books, 15 Avengers titles and a slew of books featuring characters that have already been cancelled 5 or 6 times already, they should have stuck with this smart, creative and visually stunning book a while longer!
MAJORLY dumb move, guys!!!!

I would blame all the people that didn't buy the book before I'd blame Marvel. Marvel makes some boneheaded decisions, there's no denying that, but they usually cancel books that don't make enough money.

I would have been happy to see this one continue also, but I assume it's because it's a tough and crowded market these days. I don't know how anyone could resist those Mark Brooks covers though.

Not Marvel's fault. If people do not buy it and sales per copy hit a certain low then Marvel Cancels and moves on.

Marvel is looking for a book that caches on quick and if not then bye bye.

I'm guilty of not buying it - I have almost every Defenders run - but without the Hulk in it I didn't have much interest.

How many of the books that Marvel has launched in the last four months do you think will be around in a year? I'm betting less than five! (Pretty much every one has seen a MAJOR drop in their numbers already!)

This "Now or nothing" mentality is one of the main things that's killing the comic industry today. Rather than work on the problems and nurture a book, the attitude is "We'll just cancel it and start over with another #1!" Mark my word, this is going to back fire on the industry (and it's not just Marvel!).
