Thanks all! I learned something about photography and lighting today. When I got my final pics I liked the piece, I thought the slave girl, base, and detaile work was fantastic, but I thought the barbarian skin tone looked like she had sprayed over it with a lighter color and he looked kind of jauntice or Asian so I called Hanna and told her I really liked the WIP progress from before and that I thought the skin tone and eye color were perfect for my tastes and asked how much trouble it would be to go back to that color. I was meaning this shot.
The final shot that she sent was this one, again which looked to me like the color was much lighter and an unnatural color and the eyes also looked unnatural. Talking about this one
And here is what I learned. She said they are the exact same skin tone! She said the difference is the first one is with her cell phone in the shop with regular room lighting and the second is in the photobooth with extreme photo lighting and filtered through some sort of system that is really supposed to pull out the highlights. Honestly I am hoping that in person it looks more like the top photo. She said she thinks I will like it when I see it and I'm sure I will. I have a lot to learn about photography though.
I did know photography can be deceiving before because whenever I take pics of my Saul Alvarez painted Dark Kingdom I don't know what it is but the beard looks fire engine red in the photos whether I use a flash or not, but in person it is much closer to the painting colors.
