THAT was INSANE! My interest was starting to wane after the prison assault as Carl and Beth are my least favorite characters but the writing and emotion in this one brought me back hardcore. Tough (emotionally) episode to watch and it took the narrative to a shocking place.

Boooooooooo. Man, I hate to say it, show has definitely lost me. The girls had to go, but, a whole episode? They were completely insignificant.

this whole season (both halves) has been pointless, it advanced nothing the first half just rehashed last seasons same plot and this half is just boring filler

Wow! Tonight's episode was hardcore. Not sure why it had such a profound effect on me, but it did. No punches were pulled that's for sure.
Seems to be a lot of disdain for the second half of this season. I've personally enjoyed the series much more since they've abandoned the prison. I love the shift in focus and find the survivalist aspect much more interesting and the emotional exchanges more powerful.

Haven't watched last nights episode but the previous three has been as about exciting as watching old age pensioners plot around in a Convalescence home. Now I don't mind slow burners, True Detective is a masterpiece but to pull that act off you need top notch acting.
