Very enjoyable! No car chases, explosions, choreographed fights, or techno music - just a nice slow burn of a mystery. I also appreciated the grainy look and how it was shot more like a '70s film. Well done. My only complaint is that there were so many characters to keep track of, so I had a hard time figuring out what was going on through the first third of the movie. It eventually sorted itself out... I think.

I picked up the Blu Rau steelbook and will definitely be watching this soon!

The Grey - 8/10; given "the circumstance" that we learn about, any pack of Wolves would've behaved that way. Maybe not AS aggressively, but they would be aggressive towards Man, for sure. Good calls, Bulls.

The ending was awesome. I really felt for the majority of the characters, too... very little backstory but you come to care about them (the wallet idea was ingenious).

I loved the message, also. I'm loving that so many movies have messages that don't smack you right in the face, these days. Very much appreciated.

Alaska was gorgeous, as always.

My only "nit-pick"? In some scenes, their coats and faces are covered in ice/sleet, etc.. in the next, they look fresh off the shelf, and in the next they're covered in sleet again. I only noticed it a couple of times, and it didn't detract from the movie at all, just amusing to spot.

Yeah after he won the Globe I did wonder if he can take the Oscar too, but I dunno....
