French Cancan, USA has more official cases than any country now (yes, more than China and Italy, though I suspect India will have a larger number of cases eventually).
Also, hospitals in NYC are using garbage bags, too.

That didn't long. It was on the cards, given the US's slowness in accepting what was heading their way.
Trump's belief the US will be back to normal come Easter amounts to ??????

Unfortunately, the number of cases is widely underestimated in all countries. Not enough tests.
And Italy is beginning to admit that the virus has been in Italy since the beginning of January. The same applies to France. It is indeed difficult to believe that the virus has patiently waited at our borders until February. Many cases of Covid have probably been classified as seasonal flu.

Plenty of people have tested positive as carriers showing no symptoms. Senator from here had it, and was walking around working in Congress oblivious for days he was a carrier.
I'd guess the amount of infected is 5 to 10 times what has been documented. Big part of shutting everything down is to let the virus burn out of carriers so they don't infect the vulnerable that then overwhelm hospitals.
I have friends who work in healthcare and they are already working double shifts and running low on supplies. Rationing and being unable to help people like happened in Italy is expected to come soon (next week).
