The statue is about the same size as Hercules, but has a much more complicated paint job so the factory are charging more. They are willing to give a discount if they commission at least 300, but that will still only bring it down to $495. Arahom said he would probably proceed and hope they can sell the 300. So I imagine they are just working out the final details.
Personally, I'm completely willing to pay $495 if the factory can nail such a complicated paint job. Quality and QC come first for me, and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same.

Thanks for the update. I haven't seen the last episode or two yet. I'm glad to hear Arahom acknowledged it.
I agree that price wouldn't scare me away if the factory can do a good job on the production pieces.
