It's actually my cat's, now. 
As for the base, I only looked at it once before setting it up, but I didn't notice anything odd about it... except for the stupid, stupid lack of an ES number.
By the way, after seeing the enlarged pics I noticed there was some lint on his left eye, which I've already removed.

Rooted hair, but as I mentioned and it's clearly visible, the quality on these pics is the pits. 
I managed to squeeze the overcoat further into his hand - it annoyed me he was holding it with the tips of his fingers:

yeah i can see it now, looked really good for being rooted hair (styled nicely) ive seen some that are a little scraggly that havent been finessed yet and its easy to tell its not sculpted
