I have actually heard of some really good ones but also plenty of bad. Enough bad to keep me from even really paying attention to them.

All I can say is that Jan Duursema is not someone who respects deadlines (including self-chosen ones) and does not appear to be someone who anyone should be commissioning. Terrible experience.

I had a good one several months ago. Got a nice Steven Butler Spidey commission. I tread lightly on Kickstarter.

I've only done one for an HP Lovecraft drawn by Daniel Govar because he seemed like someone who come not let it fall to the wayside. Was a great comic. Too leery of other ones from all the bad stories.

Its been a mixed bag for me -- she has finished the pencils so it looks like we are on track ....albeit 8 months past the expected delivery date
