Questions about commission and pricing

Hello everyone!

I'm new to the forums and sculpting in general however someone asked me if i could do a commission for them. What would be a good price range for things like busts or full model sculpture in various scales?

I believe that's pretty personal to you as an artist and the individual project but for a full 1/4 sculpt with base ive heard anywhere from $3000 - $25000 from very well known sculptors

Yeah that's something I'd be interested in knowing too. Well known sculptors can get away with the higher end price point much easier. Question is, how do you get to that price point? Based off an hourly rate I'd imagine?
