Sugar (Apple TV) - 8/10. Binged this in a five hour marathon. My favorite aspect of the show is Sugar?s development of relationships with minor to major characters. Plenty of unanswered questions regarding the twist, and that is a TWIST.
Dark Matters (Apple TV) - Four episodes in, and purring at a 9/10. Loving the execution of a well used sci-fi element.

Good point, his interaction with the homeless guy was very cool. Another thing, even though the episodes are typically around 35 minutes long, they really don't seem short at all...I think that's a credit to the writing and direction (pacing).

Hacks on Max. 9/10 - Seasons 1 - half of 3.
Since the very 1st 15 minutes of the very 1st show, I was blown away by the writing. It's been a long while, maybes since Mad Men that I've been so impressed by tight, very funny below-the-surface, in this case, woman-centric dialog. The premise is very fresh, no details but it's about an aging female comedian, once on top, who's attempting to crawl back by seriously updating her comedy chops. She's forced to hire a 25 year old woke writer & they eventually turn in to quite a team. Read it was just renewed for a 4th season.

I second that about Hacks-the writing and the acting are top notch-plus, it was just renewed for Season 4 (and I will not spoil it but considering how Season 3 ended Season 4 should be even incredible).

I have loved Jean Smart since Designing Women. Hacks is fantastic and I’m so happy it’s a success because she seems like such a wonderful woman and is a fantastic actress.

Baby Reindeer on Netflix - 7/10 -
Kind of like watching a slow motion car crash. Lonely guy bites off a lot more than he can chew after he befriends a lonely, overweight, manipulative psychotic at the bar where he pulls beers. Jessica Gunning, the actress who plays Martha, one of the 2 leads, is an amazing actor. She should win an Emmy. You will squirm a bit while watching.

Agreed. I love Hacks. I'm so happy they renewed it for another season, especially after the season 3 finale. Jean Smart is amazing.
