90’s X-men was decent, but I’d rather see something new/old like Byrne/Cockrum/Smith X-men. It’d be cool to see them just bring some classic runs to animated life rather than bastardizing stories just because they only have certain characters available to them.

I think they have a really large amount of characters available to them. Who wasn?t being used in the first run that you felt was missing?
I?m trying to think of stories I would love to see that we?re not done. They did a fair amount of old stories in the original run, just with Jim Lee character designs.

They did a very good job keeping the animation style but cleaning it up/refining it, technically.

I like that they kept the style, but worried about animation.
It is insane to me that in certain respects animation peaked in the 1990s. I've never found 3D to capture the same feeling (looking at you, Berserk!)

I mean, on the one hand, yeah, we're never getting epic animation scenes like this again (hope I'm wrong). Black queen becoming Phoenix is burned into my memory: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Of-c6ZJNP8c
That said, when was the last time you watched the entire series all the way through. Some of the animation is ROUGH to watch lol.

The only time the Dark Phoenix storyline has ever been done correctly on the screen.

It is personal taste in the end, but for me hand drawn, even just okay, feels more alive in my brain than 3D imitating 2D.
The lone exception I've seen is ina video game "Dragonball Fighterz" where it genuinely fools me at time, but in Dragon animation? No, it always stands out.
