He doesn't have to break his bond with his dragon to ride Vermithor. He just has to build a bond with Vermithor, too. It's just that his bond with his dragon is stronger.
I believe one or two on their side don't have dragons yet, so recruiting full grown dragons to bond them with is a better strategy than waiting for the young dragons to fully grow or to hatch.

I didn’t understand how anybody could ever been for Team Green.
Then there was the premiere.
Also, dragons are still so damn awesome.

I know it happens, but it do not have to like it.
Also that single episode makes up for most of the bullsh!t fighting we were robbed up in GoT Final Season.

Awesome sequence! So uh...is the king dead, or just barely alive? Little Sunfire, with a poor rider, didn't stand a chance amidst the other two. Perhaps Aegon shouldn't have embarrassed Aemond so badly at the brothel  So 1.5 seasons in and this show is still straight fire.

I’m hoping he is dead, but I think that was intentionally vague. Though I would have a real problem with The Queen Who Never Was being dead while the Punk Usurper King gets to live.
Vhagar is a stone cold dragon. Big ugly b!tch with a rider who also doesn’t suffer fools. Totally wicked combo that I am here for.

Im thinking Aegon is going to be alive but just barely hanging on which gives all his cronies time to power grab until he makes some kind of return. The final 15 minutes in each episode of this show is where all the good action goes.
