My positives are the characters and writing at times feeling right at home. The grey aspects of motivations and moving parts feels so right. Casting has been great all around and already excited for next week.
My only negative is battle climax was a bit...hollywood over Westeros. I don't hate it and it doesn't ruin it, but wish they spent a little more time building up to it. Artistically great, logistically suspends belief.

Does this series get any better? So far, I find it really boring, and I loved the first Game of Thrones. I literally don't like any of the characters yet, except maybe the Princess.

The morning after pill (tea) is an odd cliffhanger.

We have a long way to go. Tension and drama are slowly building up imo. Except for the first episode of GoT, I found it to be not very entertaining outside of the sex scenes for awhile lol. The last episode was pretty interesting to say the least. I like the Princess and her bodyguard the most right now. Daemon is just a vile human. He has the right look for it too.

I get what your saying, GOT had characters you really hated, loved, we went to different places, had many story arcs in the same episode. So far HOD we are really just following the one family, one location. I'm still enjoying the series though and curious where we end up.

I'm enjoying it so far but was a bit disappointed that they did away with the crabfeeder so quickly. He seemed like he could have been interesting...

If you find this boring may not be for you.
I'm engaged the entire time and loving the story and characters. So much nuance and gradients to them and fun to discuss with friends how differently people are interpreting motivations and actions.

Maybe, I'll give it another shot though. I actually hated the first GOT and shut it off after 10 mins. I went back and gave it another chance and became obsessed with it lol.

Nope, it's boring AF. I absolutely LOVE Game of Thrones, but this show is moving at a glacial pace.

I always think I have a different set of standards as to what constitutes "boring".
Seeing dynamics shift and possibilities open and close in the complexity of a world is far more interesting to me than a simplified. Goal set forth - goal achieved in an hour narrative.
I'm steeped in this world though so even little details are of interest to me. The Bracken and Blackwood feud moment was great and surprised me. I guess to some it may not register at all.
