I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I know they wanted to try something different, just was to much. I think the 300 ES reflects that.

It's to bad cause I think if they would have toned down the stylized look it, cut out the extra cape part, and better portraits, likely would have been received a lot better. Though I still think the second shorter ears portrait looked reworked, wonder when they will update the photos on the site.

I think the Batman by gas lamp was a better overall even with the fabric cape most hated.

But he is Batman so stay tuned for another one next year.

I thought this would have sold well enough for at least a 500 ES. This must not be moving at all.

All of these recent ES's are so low. Does it signal a huge decline in the statue hobby? People are now 3D printing pieces and painting them.

There is no signaling..the statue hobby is indeed in a huge decline. I think it's similar to the comic bubble in the 90s (but not as ridiculous). The movies brought in a large number of collectors who were not hardcore statue collectors. Now that the comic movie hype has died down, the economy going down, and soaring prices...the hobby is returning to it's normal state.

Hoping for a different sculptor for the next Batman. Canale just won't give up his precious "Bat-Squat" pose and Bel is so erratic you just don't know what to expect from him.

I'm over the hunched over pose.

I am actually looking for just a nice clean, shoulders back, chest out upright museum pose.

with a small-ish base for a decent footprint.

But that is just me.

Classic grey and blue with a yellow chest emblem.

I think the size of this piece doesn't help. Most 1/4 scale collectors don't have shelving to display pieces with 20" of depth.
