I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I don't hate this over stylized Batman, I'm just looking to have 1, if you have multiple then this would be a nice addition.

I know the fandom can be toxic and all over the place, I do wonder what folks are asking for SS directly. Which style Batman is getting the most requests.

I really love this one as well, just was to tall for my display cases, had they offered a slightly smaller lighting bolt i'd have bought it.

The reason why people get pissed is because let's be honest many MANY people are still waiting for that Neal Adams style classic comic 1/4 Batman and not only is this not it, it's so far out in left field. Not like Red Son Batman but just so weirdly designed.

People, (as a population now not precious little whiny individuals!) want ICONIC and DEFINITIVE statues at this price not artist's whimsy.
When most see this it is just a "No thank you, next." statue

And to this topic: Sure I am not above being influenced by people really liking a statue and boarding the hype train but I have NEVER even remotely liked a statue then to have negative impressions change my mind.

Maybe because I usually do not like despised statues but I mean I really like leaping Wolverine and that statue is hated. Opinions haven't changed my mind but I can see what is wrong with it too.

This is why Forps gets so much props. He thinks what he thinks and he rolls with it logic, justifications, or feelings be damned.

Agreed. But it's a centerpiece if you have the room. It's amazing. I love leaving the light up feature on and when I walk into my office when it's dark, it makes the iconic TDKR cover come to life. It's really... I'm so glad I got my hands on it via seconds.

Hype has sold more of everything than the product itself. FOMO is real.

That wasn't the point of my comment at all. In fact, this is quite the opposite of what I am saying.

But you replied right after me when I said that negativity impacts sales.

I get it, if you love your ugly dog it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks, but if you are going to the pet store and all you hear is how ugly that dog is beforehand, it might sway your decision before you get there.

My comment was in general, not just directed at you.

Here's an example. I absolutely love the new Mystique piece. I will be ordering it the first day she goes up. My good friend does not like her at all, and has told me multiple times how much she does not like the piece. While I respect her opinion, her hating Mystique has absolutely no bearing on whether or not I will be ordering. It hasn't detracted me at all.

Your other point about generating hype and FOMO is more akin to someone like the BSC who hypes up everything on his channel, which often generates FOMO in viewers, meanwhile providing his affiliate link for people to order.

Two very different subjects.
