Makes me think of Obi-Wan fighting Grievous in Episode III and beats him with a blaster saying "so uncivilized" and I think "turns out ranged weaponry is just practical in warfare".
That said I think the point is that the Jedi as an idea or institution cannot be killed by murdering its members. It has to be delegitimized and weakened to break its hold on the Republic to truly kill the Jedi (as we see in Episode III and the aftermath).

Yep, I totally get what they are trying to do, I just think the contradictions in the individual fights do a disservice to the overarching idea.
Another thought was, based on the somewhat opulent white robes, and Jedi being easily killed, maybe that's pointing so some larger complacency theme? Not sure. I'm also not THAT read up on SW lore.

Episode 3 lol. I guess the Gary Nerdrotic puppet was correct: Star Wars is dead. Just don't give him your money.

I think a major part is shows are not episodic in consumption but rather seasonal. Makes it hard what to make of story beats and how much is either a plot hole or something along the lines of an unreliable narrator.
A lot of vague points that depending on how one extrapolates can go all sorts of directions. I do like seeing more elements in regards to factions making the world feel bigger. That said, the story and characters here didn't really grab me. Asking child actors to take major roles is almost always a challenge. Felt that way about Leia in obi-Wan and feel that way here.

Well... that was something. Not something good, but something. I think I'm done with this train wreck.

I have tried to be as open minded as I can be.....but the cons far outweigh the pros on this show. 3 episodes in and the writing, acting and the premise are all absolute trash and make zero sense. The characters contradict themselves often times in the very same scene. I think a 6 year old, who was an actual Star Wars fan, could have written a better show.
One of the writers on this latest episode was hired because she knew absolutely nothing about Star Wars.....well, it shows.

I don't watch or follow Star Wars, but I've started following the drama because it's too funny, so I know a bit about what they're doing to the franchise.

Dang man, you?re one of the most even handed critics on here. To hear you say that makes me want to stay far away from this show.

Yeah, it was space lesbians using the force to make fatherless children. It was rather bizarre for a SW show. I don't take SW too seriously, I still watch to see how weird things can get. The bad acting and writing doesn't help. I mean, the Last Jedi didn't have a good story, but at least the acting was good and the movie looked good.
Maybe something cool will eventually happen in the Acolyte: same thing I tell myself each time they release a new Resident Evil movie. It will be different this time. The story still loves me. Derp.
