Independence Day: 8/10

A very underrated Alien film. The acting and practical effects still hold up relatively well. Maybe one of the best movie speeches? I'd probably have given it a 8.5 if all of Will Smiths attempted one liners didn't fail so hard, lol.

who underrates Independence Day? isn't it one of the most beloved movies of all time? my wife insists on watching it every 4th of July

I think people have just forgotten about ID4 and for kids nowadays the SFX are just no big deal from overexposure.

Eddie Murphy being Eddie Murphy which was fun.

I think they went through the entire soundtrack to Cop II during the chase scene in the first 20 minutes.

Yep, that's how I see it as well. Unfortunately, there isn't much to make from this franchise in regards to collectibles, so it kind of just fizzled out over time.
