Blood and Flesh: The Reel Life and Ghastly Death of Al Adamson (2019)
8/10
I really enjoyed this documentary movie about Al Adamson, who sadly met an untimely (ghastly) death.
While i am well aware of Roger Corman, i knew nothing about Al Adamson.
It certainly looked like fun times during the era of zero budget movie making. Era of the Drive-in.
Some of those who worked with Al would later go on to work on Raiders of the Lost Ark, or work with Orson Welles.
Al offered some a way into the movie industry, so long as they worked for free
One part of the documentary took a turn for a brief moment, and it involved UFOs/Aliens here on Earth
Without saying too much, according to those around Al including his then current girlfriend,
Al got as far as he was 'allowed' to go. It was implied the powers that be blocked him from investigating further?
What was interesting, at this stage in Al's career, Al had quit low budget movie making in favor of business.
Al was tempted back with the offer to make a UFO production. Al did not believe in UFOs Aliens etc. but agreed to the project. Normally Al would knock out a movie in 10 days. As Al investigated UFOs, he travelled the world.
2 years later the movie was still not complete (..and never was completed). What Al discovered, made him a believer in UFOs/Aliens.

The Severin Blu-ray includes the Al Adamson movie:
The Female Bunch (1971)
I'll check that out tonight. I am not expecting much.
I wonder why Severin choose the movie they did to include as a bonus?
