The ending wasn't bad, it just leaves you wondering what may have come after. For some reason, folks feel that books need a concrete ending, which I feel would actually take away from King's stories. I say read it for yourself and decide.
Like I said before, it also leaves an opening for a sequel. Did you know that King is considering a sequel to The Shining called "Doctor Sleep"?

I just finished reading this and this like all of kings stuff was a great read and an ending that leaves it open for you to think about.

Just got the book on Cd from the library yesterday. It's monstrous. 30 Cds. Will keep me engaged on the drive to/from work for awhile.
