That's perfectly fine I don't see many movies at the theater per year either.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

I do not trust the kind of Tomato etc BS. Too much fakeness/manipulation in play.
The reviews by the supposed “pro’s” have always been garbage but tomato until recently was accurate with audience scores. I don’t waste my time with their site anymore. IMDb is more honest, especially on anything Disney owned (which seems to be about everything anymore).

Say what you want about those two movies, but Michael Fassbender was brilliant as David. Some of his finest work. But in Covenant, they abandoned the Shaw and Engineer storyline. Just killed them all off. And now they have abandoned the David storyline. Very annoying. What is the point of these movies if they go nowhere?

I didn't give a crap about engineers and David alone was not enough to save those films, unfortunatly. It is not about going somewhere to produce squel on squels, they should just focus on making a good film in itself.

Like you mention, the movie ends on a let down.

It all adds up to a movie that sucks, made by makers who want to cash in on the classic A L I E N

Fact is, from the word go, the lead actress seemed weak. I felt that from the 1st interview she gave.

I had a beer once, in the Pub (bar) where HR Giger hung out while making A L I E N, a stones throw from Shepperton Studios
There was 'stuff' on the walls mentioning this. I have have walked around Shepperton Studios, the site.
They have a fully functioning old style Pub there
All i will say in short is Alien: Romulus is the number one film in the box office right now even above Deadpool & Wolverine.

This also means get ready for a squel for Rain and Andy's story. I liked both of them. the Women leads in Prometheus and Covenant sucked, but Rain in the Romulus was fine.

Agreed, I was bummed that Shaw was killed offscreen, and we didn't learn any more about the engineers in Covenant. I hope we get a conclusion to the David storyline, and moreover, we find out how the derelict engineer ship crashed on LV-426. I'd even settle for a comic run that delved into that story.

That should definitely be the first priority in any franchise.

I'm not convinced we'll see those characters again, but I wouldn't be against it as I like both characters. Yvaga III isn't under Weyland-Yutani control and they don't allow synthetics, so it could be interesting to see how Rain and Andy maneuver under those circumstances.

You bite your tongue mister, Shaw was great in Prometheus! I did like Rain, and I don't think it's fair for people to compare her to Ripley as that character is legendary. For example, I don't automatically dislike new Star Wars characters because they don't stack up to Luke Skywalker or Han Solo
