No he's still going pretty strong. He was just in a WWII movie that was pretty good. More projects coming too I think.

Good to hear. He is just under my radar then. I don't follow much of anyhing else other than comic book films lately anyway.

A Brooding Superman, Superman let his Father die, Superman mass murdered all the kryptonian fetuses (may be murder is not the right word. It is kind of ambigius if it is genoside or mass abortion) and Superman killed Zod in a very brutal way.

For a Superman that you prefer, how would you see that version being able to take down Darkseid in a live action film? For such a terrifying villain, I feel like you would need a Superman that has killed and experienced some dark sh*t to be able to take down such a foe.

It doesn't bother me that a lot of people hated ZS's vision, but a lot of people liked it and stupid Gunn could've let him finish that vision by the time this rebooted Supes came out. Who knows if we will ever get to see Darkseid fight Supes, now. If it happens, it could be another 10 years+.

I agree it's a shame we didn't get more Cavill Supes, especially vs Darkseid, but I don't blame Gunn. The box office for the last several DCEU films has been abysmal (and that's putting it mildly ), so he had to clean the slate and start fresh.

That's the whole point to Superman. He does have the power to defeat Darkseid. Superman is holding back when he uses his powers cause he doesn't want to kill anyone. Superman doesn't need to experience dark sh!t or have killed to defeat Darkseid. Once Superman figures it out, he just gradually lets loose his full powers on Darkseid.

Superman Fought Darkseid many times in comics and cartoons, he didn't need to go though some dark stuff to face Darkseid each time. You can put Superman in a dark stuation, you can bring him to Apocalyps, but you shoudn't make Superman himself a dark character like Batman etc. That is what i don't like about Snyder Films, his Superman came out as edgy, a Batman wanna be, poser as a character. I am a Batman guy, i like a dark character, but Superman is not that.

He's good. He left the Witcher because the showrunners at Netflix weren't respecting the source material. He's supposed to star in a Warhammer 40K show, but I hear that Amazon plans to also disrespect the source material. He's also starring in a Highlander reboot.
