New “Top Secret” Spider-Man Costume

https://www.gamesradar.com/spiderman-new-costume-2021/

I can’t help but shrug at this. Both Marvel and DC have changed costume designs for their primary characters and, with a few minor exceptions, they revert back eventually to their tied-and-true designs.

Spider-Man, Captain America, Superman, Batman, etc., all have had makeovers and then reverted back.

By “minor exceptions” I’m referring more to design elements rather than the characters. For example, Wonder Woman now has a version of a skirt rather than form fitting shorts, Hawkman has wings on his helmet though he didn’t back in the day, the green part of Green Lantern’s body costume now stops at his waist, Iron Man’s armor still is red and yellow despite deviations from this but other design elements change, Thor’s costume changed following War of the Realms but probably will go back to its basic blue with body discs, elements of yellow and red cape.

Anyway, should be interesting to see what they come up with but, after decades of seeing these changes change back, it’s hard to get truly interested in a “top secret”’costume change.

Of course, after saying I’m not interested I’ve just written a post about it. LOL!

This looks horrible. I’m sure in the story there is some reason for the suit but this just looks way off. Might be the eyes which makes him look more like a robot clone than Spider-Man. Either way..no thank you.

Lord is that an ugly costume. I do not read Spider-Man but what is the reason for this costume change.

But I agree with wtkf, any big costume change like this is always undone after a while and I say that within a year Spider-Man will be back in his classic look.
