The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

yeah just wait for the hotelpaclypse to take place. that's when most of the gaslamp hotels open rooms at a "discounted" rate via sdcc partnerships.

They'll put out a list of official CCI hotels (ie those that will be part of the sale) about a week or two before the lottery. In years past, they've had people select their top six choices.

Funny how this is the biggest convention and one of the smallest threads. I'm thinking vast majority on this board do not go to Comic Con.

Last year was the 10th year in a row I have tried to get a ticket to go and not once got one. I finally decided to give up and didn't even try this year.

On the plus side I have more money to buy statues. LOL

It makes me wonder how all these people get tickets. There must be some other avenue to get these tickets as there must be over 100,000 tickets.

Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

My first time was as a child with my friend in the late seventies. He still has the program book. I started going regularly since 1983, chose not to go only one year in the eighties, never missed since, somehow I manage to get in each year since the explosion in attendance. I only go for about half a day now, just check out the stuff I'm interested in pre-ordering and punch out.

When you factor in travel, hotel accommodations, rental car, food, entertainment, you do save a crap-ton of money if you skip one of these larger cons.
