That is exactly the license restriction...these cannot be too close to the traditional comic look, or someone complains.

I believe the restrictions are by DC. Sideshow has no pull as to what is sold outside of North America. XM's 1/4 Marvel pieces are all comic based. For whatever reason, XM doesn't have a 1/4 comic based DC license.

The first Batman was NOT a worldwide piece. The license was upgraded after he was released.

I agree with you on the new one. It looks nice and, I'm sure, is superbly detailed, but it does not say Batman to me the way the first one does.

So if i got this right. you can order Deathstroke on XMs website no matter where you are in the world? it just wont be avalible at any other sources like the EU and US distributor?

Yes, you can order it from XM’s site, but distributors will also have it.
