I figured it was a power play by Disney to take their toys to their own upcoming streaming channel. Maybe it is a Netflix power play. Whoever is at fault for this, as a fan and viewer I'm not pleased by any of this.

I could see that or Disney possibly slowly pulling the plug on all their Netflix Marvel series so they can focus on original content for their own upcoming streaming service.

I am not happy about either one of them being cancelled let alone both. I was hoping this would mean a Heroes For Hire series with both of them starring as a replacement. The way both of them ended didn't leave much hope for that though. It seems to me a Misty and Coleen show would be more likely since they, IMHO, were being transitioned to the main focus of both shows.

I think these shows are a bit to adult orientated for Disney to stream them on their service... All I can guess is that not enough people were streaming them for Netflix to keep paying for them...

Netflix doesn't release ratings numbers, but the impression I got was ratings for Luke Cage at least were always very good. There was even a coincidental server outage the day of the series premiere: https://deadline.com/2016/10/netflix...ty-1201829633/
The aforementioned power play theory seems more accurate to me. Disney tried to push more favorable terms for season three knowing they have their streaming service and Hulu in their back pocket and Netflix wouldn't budge.
