Based on the video just looks like any other PCS piece: overpriced blown up statue with the details and paint app of a much smaller statue.

Video resolution is not very high but c'mon man do a review and then critique anatomy that you already knew was not in the advertised proto?
This looks tops so far and matches what was advertised.

I'll admit the review/video itself is terrible. Twenty minutes of slow talking saying more or less nothing, but there are some decent points made. We knew up front that the detailing on the leg was ridiculously light, but it's obviously just pant leggings repainted to look like skin.

Facts!

The quality seen on this video should be unacceptable nowadays. This looks like a plastic toy bought for 50 bucks as is the case for all of PCS products. PCS' quality is lower than old HCG's one which is telling you all you need to know.

The reviewer was 100% right. This oozes a toy vibe. The paint is atrocious, the hair is worse than on Lego toys, the base is bland, everything is a mess.

PCS constant new POs (a new PO followed by another PO followed by another) along with the final product (when delivered) being of such a low quality should have sound an alarm inside the community. Nevertheless, Tubers are nowhere to be found and noone even dares to ask what is going on here.

This piece looks even worse than Robocop and the latter was an abomination.

GyroZeppeli, congrats for your honest opinion. Sugarcoating is what destroyed our hobby. Collectors should express their opinions without fear

I am assume you are referring to the review of the 'Battle Edition' filmed using a mobile phone by dante devilhunter

From what i can tell, it looks close to the proto, which was never that detailed.
It fails to make sense moaning about the lack of definition on the legs. If that was a concern, then why purchase the statue?
Sure, i see what he means with regards to muscle shape when it comes to the pose. To be fair, it is a 3D cartoon piece.

Atleast the reviewer likes the bar. I wonder what the bar is made of?
I am assuming metal? ..i guess it could be resin with a metal rod running though the middle?

As a review, it dragged on for too long. Given what he said, i think the review should have been 5 minutes, not 20 minutes.

In person, i am expecting the Gym Workout line to be on par with the PCS Street Fighter Season Pass line, which admittedly are not the most detailed looking 1/4 statues. They have a cartoon vibe going on, which is fine for Street Fighter. If you expect Prime 1 level painting, would will probably will be disappointed.

Looks like a toy you'd buy at a videogame shop.

Minor point, but the weights shouldn't look like metal per the reviewer's complaint, as olympic weights are rubber. Do you even lift bro?

Funny you should say that. That's what PCS are best at, and they've sold a bunch of items through game stores.

And they clearly use mostly the same factories, which is why their larger scale (and more premium stuff) isn't really premium...

Even pieces that look nice, like their recent Turtles, are incredibly over-priced.

Their efforts to maximize profitability are more glaringly obvious than most, whether it be downgrading paint apps, or charging more for product that doesn't warrant it.

I must not understand what people expected from this piece based on what was advertised.
To be taken seriously, if people want to critique something, an argument has to be logical and justifiable.

Show me what someone got does not look like what was advertised, not complain it didn't magically change to look like a hyper realistic/life-like statue.
