A serious expression would tie in with the existing trinity. Always thought Flash's the lighthearted comedian of the Justice League, so him smirking would be cool too.

Certainly has potential & Jim Lee already drew some lightning in his sketch.

Tricky isn't it... thought these pieces were decent representations of Flash in motion:

Personally fine with the museum pose though & understand why Koto may have chosen it to commemorate the "Ame-Comi Night Jim Lee Special in Kotobukiya Akihabara" event https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cJ58jkFrHE

The "problem" with the running Flash statues is they're always portrayed at the moment when he start to run, with the torso in 45º, when it should be in 90º for a full speed look.
Well, at least works in reality.

On those pics, the one running at 90 (is that Lewis?) only looks fast because of all the blur. If you take out the blurring of the the limbs and the background, he will look stiff and will actually look like he's just hopping or skipping. I would imagine that it's hard if not impossible to sculpt the blur that's why they opt to do the leaning forward pose because as in your sample pic it looks very dynamic even without blurs.

How unrealistic is it to think that they win have this ready to go at SDCC with another of the justice league?

All good points, if Koto (or any manufacturer) attempts to make another running Flash statue perhaps they can include blurred limbs (clear resin/PVC, sculpted using 3D software, partly painted) with lightning streaks trailing behind him. The base could be a section of a lake with walls of water bursting behind Flash.

Far as i know Kouei Matsumoto is the only sculptor working on the 1/6 Justice League line so far. Two JL statues a year could be possible with the help of Abe Junnosuke (he sculpted New 52 Deathstroke & Killing Joke Joker). Both artists would be under the pump though especially since Koto has many anime, manga, & game related goods to make & sell.

Koto might reveal an updated, smoothed out prototype in SDCC. Would be a nice surprise if they do announce the next hero too. So far these JL related statues have been released at the end of the year (Nov-Dec).

I sincerely hate the new 52 universe... That is why I like the statues based on the classical looks of the characters.
