Sorry about the quality of the pics.....just so excited that I just snapped them and posted asap.

Is it just me or am I the only one wondering why GG made the Leia bust with a Trooper Blaster rifle instead of with her own pistol........????

Regardless,....great likeness to Fisher and Sir Alec. In my opinon, the Obi Wan is one of GG's best busts yet...Maybe tied with the new Jango Fett......

Anyways,....thought I'd share.....

That Leia's face looks nothing like the promo pic and it's kinda weird...

You know, when I first got it, I thought that it looked kinda weird as well, but then I realized that it was a little different than the promo,...but it does share a fairly good likeness to Carrie. I do like it, but really like Obi-Wan moreso. Any ideas as to why they chose the blaster rifle instead of her pistol.....?

Nice additions.

I just added all of those to my collection as well sans the Yoda on Kybuck. I'll probably pick that one up later on the cheap. My BHS maquette is on his way too so GG definitely got their share of my money this month.

After she was rescued from her cell she has Luke throw her his stormtrooper blaster to blow open a whole in the garbage chute. I guess they chose that 3 second scene to sculpt from since it is such a huge scene int he movie. I highly doubt that it had anything to do with laziness on GGs part, or the fact aht they had 4 gazillion trooper rifles hanging around. . .

Its a defining moment for the character. Shows she is assertive.

As for the likeness. It might just be the photo, but the cheack/chin area looks chubby. Is that just me?

TOO FUNNY on the Leno comment,..but I can see where you're coming from!!!

I seem to recall that when you look at screen tests of Fisher for the part of Leia,...she actually was not on the "slim side." In fact, if you watch the interviews, Carrie actually mentions how she was asked to lose some weight for the part as she wouldn't be wearing a bra for the part as according to Lucas, "There were no bras in space!" (funny, but true!), and she actually had to lose weight for Empire and then even moreso with tonig up for Jedi to get into the Metal bikini. As I watched a clip or two last night from a New Hope again, just as a frame of reference to see if in fact her cheeks were a little on the chubby side,...I can see where that reference comes in. She wasn't exactly as skinny as Paris Hilton back then.

But great observations all around.
