Thumbs up Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince (No spoilers)

Just back from the cinema. It was preview night and the place was packed to the rafters. They were running two screenings at a time.

Anyway the movie is quite dark not only the story but the cinematography. Not quite as cheerful and as brightly lit as the previous outings but enjoyable non the less.

I have intentionally avoided reading the books and I have to say I am looking forward to the conclusion. It is the case that the final book is being divided into two movies?

I won't post any spoilers but I will say they are dragging the ass out of Harry actually kicking some ass.

Just got back from this
Gotta say a little disappointed with it
I too haven't read any of the books but felt loads of stuff was left out. Came away with loads of questions that my wife had to fill me in on

6/10

The last book is being split into 2 films

I watched this yesterday and loved it! I thought it was the best of the movies to date and set up brilliantly for the last two movies! (which i wish was only one!)

I wont post spoilers either!

I have not read any of the books or seen any of the previous movies but this movie looks dark enough that it kinds interests me. Would it be too confusing to actually go see it?

Saw it today with my Daughters. Even though I enjoyed it, as we drove home, I complained a little about how I perceived the whole story as back-peddling a little, and blamed much of it on Rowling's inability to properly finish the epic she started. Both my kids, who've read the books, aptly reminded me that the story made and makes complete sense to those that have devoted the time to read the actual books.

I shut-up, apologized and stopped for milkshakes. I'm the boob that didn't read 'em. I was proud of my kids for putting me in my place. This is their mythology, I'm just a visitor.

Same here
I complained some stuff didn't make sense in the movie but my wife said that it all does in the book it's just that they have cut loads of stuff out.
So I had to bite my tounge
Making comparisons to X-men and Star Wars didn't help either
