I was really shocked by how shoddy the Bombshells Batwoman statue is, so I went to Game Stop and got the Wonder Woman statue. (It's on
sale for $59.97, whereas the
Holiday Variant is at the full MSRP of $124.99.)
I also wanted to compare it to the Artgerm Cover Girls statue. As you can see from the attached photos, the Bombshells version is slightly bigger, not just in overall body type but also in height. This is true even when you take into account the taller Bombshells base. The paint used for flesh is also much pinker than what was used for the Cover Girl version.
The face sculpt has been very divisive, which probably explains why this statue is still available for between $80 to $120 at several places. (Other early statues, such as Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, have sold out their entire run of 5,200 pieces.) I'm surprised that DC didn't modify the face sculpt for the Holiday Variant (as it has done for the Halloween version of Batgirl).
Upon close inspection, I can see only a few paint chips. I will attribute these issues to handling by Game Stop employees. (They take statues out of boxes to display them.) There is a small dab of red on her white collar, and some of the black in her hair has faded. Otherwise, the paint app is very solid, even in the areas where her hands are grasping the chain links. The biggest problem on my statue is the right-hand bracelet, which has two rough spots. I'm not sure if those spots are paint or glue residue. I will try to clean it and post an update.
Edit: The rough spots on the bracelet were just excess glue. I was able to scrape them off with my fingernails.
