Absolutely love it and have watched it multiple times at the theater. I even have it on 3D Blu-ray. Never watched Avatar again after seeing it in the theater.

Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man.
Don Johnson and Mickey Rourke may sound like a weird casting idea, but it was a really great flick.

No, not joking. But to be clear, I'm not judging it as an adaptation because I haven't read the ERB novels. I'm judging it on its own merits. I enjoyed the story, I thought the CGI was excellent for the time the film was made, and I found Dejah Thoris scorchingly hot.
Not a bad way to spend a few hours.

I liked this movie too. I had forgotten about it. Speaking of boots I'm not sure if it is "underrated" or just not well known but "Suicide Kings" is a great movie too with an ongoing thing about boots made of Stingray or as they are called in the movie "fish boots"
