That is a spectacular review, plus that back drop of plants is a perfect fitting for her as well.. Just BEAUTIFULL!!!
Well worth every penny I think.
XM don't mess around with their products!!! just a WOW!! Factor
I will, one day, be a proud owner at least of one of their statues some day

I've been asked what I think are the best display options. It is a tough choice!
We have:
a) Traditional Geisha portrait with fan
b) Traditional Geisha portrait with mask is another option. It also looks too busy with the fan and mask so I would not display it that way either. The Geisha portrait with umbrella doesn't work either as it does not sit right. It's meant for the slick cut portrait anyway.
c) Slick cut portrait without the mask and without umbrella
d) Slick cut portrait with the mask and umbrella
e) Slick cut portrait - no mask, no umbrella

Isn't the Geisha portrait with the Geisha mask kinda redundant?

It's a tad odd that you keep saying the umbrella doesn't work with the geisha head, when it was specifically displayed that way a month ago at Asia Comic Con.

You'd think! However, it is still a display option.

I wouldn't want to risk scratching any paint on her hair (speaking for myself). Also, the hairpins fall off when nudged, which is what seems to happen when you try to position he umbrella just right above her head. All this to say that the umbrella rests so much easier on the slick cut portrait. There's far less maneuvering with the slick portrait. IMO, is also looks better there.

Ah, so it fits, but it's just not ideal.
Are the hairpins attached via metal pin/peg or magnet?
Also, is the fan fabric or paper?
