Very valid points... ok Moleman is the front runner.... though Auto seems to be involved in a lot of useful crafting missions and other quests.

I like Frink. You get some cool jobs; flying his "airplane" or him playing with flying saucer. Plus you get a new building. Moleman is fine too but the football in the jewels gets boring.

I already have Frink, he was the first premium character I bought. I've decided to save up for auto. Only 15 donuts away. Speaking of which, happy I got to unlock everything in the casino event without spending donuts minus not-Don King. So hopefully I can get enough bonus donuts to get to auto... well between that and the daily events.
