I have to ask this. I always hear "Statue X are going for under retail now" and frankly I've never seen it. especially on ebay. For example WW PF just got raised $50 by SS and it's still a better deal than grabbing one off the bay. Are we talking Facebook groups? I've always found those to be a big risk especially with the kinda cash these things command even when getting a "deal".

if the statue is in stock after release.. you get it cheaper on ebay and specially facebook groups or even on forums..

on top.. you can pair it with ebay bucks for example and even SSC is throwing coupons on it..

best example is their Vader PF..

I bought the recent sabretooth exclusive for $100 less than retail on ebay. You could buy the Red Son Superman for $100 less than retail on ThinkGeek about 1 month ago.

I purchased the mcquarrie stormie and fett (both exclusive versions) for $50 off each directly from SS.

And there are lots of great deals on the fb groups. You can ask for feedback on any seller and of course you are protected by paypal.
