This is a truly handsome piece of work, Alterton. I like the rather lazy dctator look, but the eyes definitely show what Doom is capable of.

Sorry, but this is just wrong and disrespectful. It's a beautiful piece and it stands on it's own. You are obviously not at all familiar with Alterton's work. Go back and read post #17 in this thread. Martin Canale seems to think this is an amazing piece. In case you didn't know, Martin was the art director on the SSC Doom that this one doesn't come within a light year of. I'm sure Pablo, the sculptor of the SSC Doom, will also agree.

I beg to differ. I think the Sideshow piece is a beautiful piece but it also has a original design flair. Yes it is beautiful, but so is this one. I think this sculpt is every bit as amazing and the piece is more comic book accurate. This is the one I will buy because the robes are sculpted on Doom (my personal preference with statues) and I just think this piece flat out rocks.
