OK you guys, I respect the work Sideshow does but this kinda makes me wonder why there exists a disconnect between fan choice and artistic expression.
I don't think any other toy company out there compares to Sideshow in terms of sophistication of sculpt and artistry... so before this comes off as whining keep in mind it is not. It's just a valid observation among competitors.
Hasbro makes an Angela figure, hell they even make a 80s Dazzler figure. Granted these are like GI Joe style action figures, but the point is they had to have gone thru approvals, more specifically Disney / Marvel.
Anyone wanna point out whats wrong with this picture?
So I'm under the impression that children are more likely to dish out hundreds of dollars for a statue of a female form comic character, whereas man-children over the ages of 18 are more likely to play with GI Joe style action figures?
Angela looks butt naked here like in the comics.... so how could Disney possibly say no to one and yes to another...
Just doesn't add up.
If Sideshow wanted to change Angela, then just say so but to allude that it was Marvel's decision I don't buy it.
its a good time to be a Marvel Legends collector though, wow.
