I didn't find anything wrong with that tape he even said she can stay in the house he's not giving it to her but she can live in it.
He also said he'll take care of his child sounds normal to me.
I'd love another lethal weapon movie.

Mel's longtime agent died on July 3 and his agency informed him yesterday that they were no longer representing him.
What Mel said was completely inappropriate but I am sure if someone followed everyone on this board around, you would be caught saying something you would not want heard.

Agreed. There is double standards in America which allows one element of the public to use the word and another not. Same with the word "cracker". This was also a private call between two individuals which should never have been recorded.

I've heard the urban use of the word (ending in 'a' instead of 'er') used freely by anyone from an urban neighborhood regardless of race to refer to anyone else of any race. If Eminem used the word '**gga' no one would bat an eye.
Mel clearly used the racial version, 'er', and added to it with the 'pack' bit.

True, but Mel really should have known better after his last tirade.

Think about it EW, Its absolute madness we are now getting into whether it was a or er. The word shouldn't be used by anyone so then when it is used there is no doubt about its use.

Your right. There's an argument as to whether it's better to defuse the word or find it unacceptable by anyone. I know folks who feel strongly on both, personally I think no one should use it.

There's a big difference when it's used by a minority and used in a buddy-buddy sense than when it's used by a rich white guy in a threatening/disparaging way. Same with words like f*g/f*ggot.
Sucks about Mel being kind of a lunatic though, I'll be avoiding his movies even more than I have been (but that was primarily due to them sucking lately).
