Being an Aussie this is a great loss, not only for Australia but to the rest of the world and my condolences goes out to his family,
Even though this is a sad day. He passesd away doing what he loved best how may of us will be able to be doing that when we move on to the next stage?

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Yeah totally! I researched right now about the odds of that happen, and the fatality probability rate as to actually getting a barb to the heart and it was close to nil! Last big case reported was of a woman in 1938! These are after all docile creatures that are able to protect themselves, I had no idea they were venomous though. He must have been doing something to have provoked such an attack.
Still he was like a real life adventurer you know? He was afraid of nothing. Sad day indeed.

Dude I heard a few hours ago. That sucks. Stingray.
I always thought a croc was gonna eat him.
People at work saying at least he died at the hand of an animal. Like it was how he would have wanted to go.
Crapola. I am sure he wanted to go out OLD.

A sad day, and he leaves a wife and two young children. As Tetra says, there was a risk in what he did and Steve Irwin was well aware of that risk.
