That really sucks. I've been watching him for over 10 years. The poor guy deals with venomous snakes, alligators, crocidiles, sharks and then is taken out by a stingray. Talk about bad luck. RIP croc hunter!

It is sad when anyone passes on. I feel really bad for his daughter most of all. NO 8 year old should have to grow up without their Dad.

That being said, this guy was a nutjob! You keep screwing with the law of averages and you are bound to end up onthe losing side of the deal sooner or later. We have all watched this guy and thought "wtf is he doing!" Sure everyone is saying he died doing what he loved, but is that really worth it in the end. Avoidable death is worse than death IMO. There are things that you just should NOT do once you have children that are counting on you. I am not bashing the guy, I will miss him, but his death seems so senseless to me.

I can't imagine what kind of shock his wife must be going through after all the dangerous animals they've encountered together. Obviously she wasn't expecting him to be at risk on this outing or she wouldn't have been out hiking.

RIP Mr Irwin

CRIKEY!

Like HJF said, to be taken out by such a (relatively) harmless creature after all the things he's done is a shock. I feel the worst for his two kids.
