Why are the US buyers special? They are after all, international buyers. Hot toys is not an American company!

Other than the fact that U.S. buyers probably buy more than all international buyers combined, no reason at all.
Besides, since when does the producing company's origin matter? I see international buyers complaining constantly about various issues they have (pre-order times, shipping costs, etc) regarding items made by US companies like SS and PCS, so...

Cause it's a huge market :< Lots of manufactorer's aren't in the US but still treat US as special/on par with their home country.

I think you underestimate the size of the collectors outside North America. Beside do you know how cheap adapters are? you can buy them in pound shops!!
And it's easy for you to criticize other people about shipping when you get it for free and not only do we have to pay shipping which I have no problem with, but then have to pay customs charges on top of that. And I have no problem waiting for items at all

Seriously, what planet do you live on where you think we get free shipping?

So why is that SS's problem that you live in a country that charges custom tax? You choose to live there, don't like it guess you need to find another hobby. I won't even get into the fact that SS subsidizes part of the shipping costs for international collectors meanwhile charging almost double the actual rate to US collectors (trust me on that, I run the numbers on every single SS piece I get).
When I spoke of "pre-order times" I'm talking not about the wait, I'm referring to the time of day it happens. It's like clockwork in the PCS threads everytime a new statue is announced, the whining about the time start being inconvenient because two people live 8 time zones away from the location of PCS.
And I do know exactly what it is like. I collect Japanese made Transformers and pay at least 1/3 more for them than a collector in Japan pays. The only difference is I either accept that and move on or don't buy the items, what you won't find me doing is pissing and moaning on a message board about it with some entitled attitude.
Finally, my comments are directed towards SOME int'l collectors here, certainly not all of them. But far too many IMO and those that do should be embarrassed as they look like morons.

I am trying to find the post, but Alex already said that 95% of all customers are U.S. Based. And free shipping? Huh?

How often do Sideshow offer free domestic shipping?

did I ever say it was sideshow's problem? I don't mind paying for taxes - it's part of the hobby, but other people can't bear it and do anything to avoid it. And my bad on the whole waiting thing. I mis read it and didn't see the pre-order bit. Time to eat a slice of humble pie. I remember well when you used to sit in front of the comp and kept on refreshing the screen waiting for those exclusives to come up on those crappy servers. That never happens now thanks to NRDs and shyte QC, not to mention the price on sideshow

Agreed Albert. I almost pulled the trigger on the first one but after seeing pics of the one from Part II, that's the one to own imo. It should be easier to display too with it being on a stand.
