Went back though this thread just now to see find some pics.
It was very interesting reading the attitudes when this thing finally shipped.

Nearmint- I had forgotten that you had had this on pre-order originally, but ended up cancelling before it shipped.

It stuck with you that much, huh?
Can't blame you. It's still one of my all-time favorites.

Were you planning to pick it up, or have them ship it? I'd forgotten how many small pieces this came in. I'll be annoying without the stryo, but that should yield a really good deal on it for you, I would think.

I've had mine boxed up since the Wolverine PF showed up a month or two later that summer. Out of everything, this is the one I've been most eager to pull back out and set up again.

I have to wait for something else that's coming in soon, that I'll need to QC first. I only have display space for one 1/4-1/3 piece at a time. If that one doesn't arrive broken, I'll probably keep it up for a week and then box it up and get Sonja out for the rest of summer through Fall.

Rotating can be a pain in the arse, but one of the nice things is- I am SO stoked to see her again!

Anticipation has always been a big part of this hobby.

I only cancelled because I knew my wife wouldn’t appreciate the blood and severed head. Now I’m thinking I might be able to display it on a high shelf and keep her happy.

I’m going to pick it up. The seller is about 70 miles away, and I think we’re going to meet halfway. He is giving me a good deal.

I’m also considering the 2nd Red Sonja. I haven’t seen that one in person, but it looks beautiful.

TBH, I completely forgot this had a severed head on it until I'd read your earlier posts.
I can picture it now, but at the time I had it up that element just kind of faded into the base. It was the figure of Sonja itself that commanded all my attention- as it should do.

Looking forward to the review if the deal goes through.

I have some nice statues... Clayburn Moore Barbarian unpainted artist proof ( 1 of 15), IS Endgame Cap, IS Batman, SS Joker WW and Punisher, Classic Bowen Thor, few IS 1:10s and some others...

Sonja is still my favorite of them all.

I still believe that this is one of the best female pieces ever released by Sideshow.
