I agree the ANH helmet was the best, but unfortunately the rest of the costume was also the weakest in my opinion. So if we're talking about a PF I think going with either the ESB or ROTJ Vader was the right call.
As for the pose, I've always preferred the more natural movie-style poses to the really dynamic action ones. And this one looks like it could veer a bit too much into the latter, with him posing on a rock like some kind of supervillain.

Yeah but I think that's a neat way to pose him and represent the character in another light and pose than normal Vader ones! Could be interesting!

Funny. I got told off recently for referring to my CM as having an "action pose." In comparison to other products, it's fair I guess, but for Vader the character...
I'd prefer it to be a character focused pose simply because I've already bought something with the saber whipped out, but for the artists there... the last Vader Sideshow worked on was poignant.

Nothing new yet. I'm hoping we'll see something around SDCC, but it depends how far along it is in production. SSAlex confirmed that it would be mixed media though.
