Yup. Expect the unexpected with that one, I like retellings so temper your expectations accordingly. I would say just don’t watch episode 3 but how can u not?

The Mandalorian - 8.5/10
Everything I could really ask for in a Star Wars series. My only knock on it is the runtime of each individual episode. Less than 30 min. isn’t enough time to flesh out the characters and settings in some of the standalone stories. It’s not as big of an issue in the more serialized narratives but Disney’s efforts to stretch this series out as far as possible hurts the flow tremendously. I’m hoping the format changes for S2 but given the unique weekly episodic release schedule Disney+ has adopted to keep people paying for their streaming service I’m not overly optimistic.

Watchmen - 9.5/10
Wow! What a series. For many, I’d imagine this follow up to the comic book/movie will be somewhat of an exercise in patience. The slow pace and bizarre material will likely turn away a few viewers but those who stick with it are in for a mind bending experience full of twists and turns. Lindelof’s writing is truly genius at times and the score by Reznor & Ross is so hauntingly beautiful it just might be the best thing I’ve ever heard in a TV series. Refreshingly creative and bold. Watchmen is a reminder that we truly are living in the golden age of television.

I would give them 9/10. Either way, excellent show with great writing and a moody atmosphere which makes you uncomfortable (in a good way).
