That's what I'm doing. It's not like they're gonna stop making stuff and I really only need one Mando representation in my collection. It doesn't even have to be quarter scale so my options are open.

As of now I'm leaning towards the Hot Toys 1:6 but I want to see what else is coming. Honestly I've liked most of what I've seen already so I feel like you can't go wrong.

If Iron Studios does a really good one I'll call SS and beg them to move my NRD to another order and I'll order the IS Mando. I've done it before.

I have the Gentle Giant Mando bust in his brown armor. Great bust. I plan on getting the Beskar armor 1/7 statue as well. Whoever makes a great 1/4 version and when ever it's made, I'll make the switch to that.

i prefer fully sculpted when it comes to most things but on loose fitting clothing mixed media usually looks better imo. totally personal preference that no one will ever agree on but mixed media or not i think HT has the better mando

This PF really grew on me. I really like it. I'm glad I pulled the trigger on this one.

Of course it can. More so when it’s based off of a movie/tv property. At least for the actual figure it can.

But in general there can be two areas of concerns with Hot Toys. Their bases and whether the pose used looks natural or not (this last one is the reason I moved over to statues, and for the larger scale). With statues this is ‘rarely’ an issue.

However until recently Hot Toys facesculpts were usually superior to statues or at worst equal. And even while I now primarily collect statues now, figures will usually not need to deal with QC issues with their paint. Whereas with the statues I own, none of them have been able to ever match how clean the paint application that is applied to the figures I own, whether they are Iron Man or Star Wars figures etc.
