Of course it can. More so when it’s based off of a movie/tv property. At least for the actual figure it can.
But in general there can be two areas of concerns with Hot Toys. Their bases and whether the pose used looks natural or not (this last one is the reason I moved over to statues, and for the larger scale). With statues this is ‘rarely’ an issue.
However until recently Hot Toys facesculpts were usually superior to statues or at worst equal. And even while I now primarily collect statues now, figures will usually not need to deal with QC issues with their paint. Whereas with the statues I own, none of them have been able to ever match how clean the paint application that is applied to the figures I own, whether they are Iron Man or Star Wars figures etc.
